Abstract Submission (deadline September 15th, 2010)

In addition to invited speakers, the conference program will include also free communications in three presentation formats, i.e. oral podium presentation, defended poster, non-defended poster.

Oral Podium Presentation: 8 minute presentation using Power Point, followed by 2 min of discussion in response to questions from the audience. Session is led by a designated Chair person.

Defended Poster will hang for display, and in addition, the presenting Author will give a brief (3 minutes) oral presentation and discussion during a designated poster session. Sessions will be led by designated a Chair person.

Non-defended Poster will be displayed without any formal oral presentation by the author.

The participants are encouraged to submit their contributions. The authors are supposed to indicate their preferred type of presentation on the registration form (see section registration). However, the organizing committee will make the final decision and let the authors know before September 30th, 2010. The same form of abstract is required for each type of presentation.


Abstract Guidelines

Abstract should be converted into a pdf-file prior to submission (sending as an attachment to: icst2010@fsport.uniba.sk).

Abstracts are restricted to a maximum of 2 pages (Abstract template complying with following instructions should be used for the production of document). Only Times New Roman 11.5 should be used, except for List of References and Figure Texts, which should use Times New Roman 11 or 10.5. References cited in the abstract should be placed at the end of the abstract. Abstracts will be printed as they appear in the submitted pdf-file.

Abstract title:
Use capitals and bold text.

Authors and institution:
Presenting author should be listed as first author. Name of institution(s) and/or relevant department(s) should be included. In the case of more than one institution, these should be indicated by superscript numbers.

Abstract text:
Sections should be presented as follows: (1) Introduction, (2) Methods, (3) Results, (4) Discussion, (5) Conclusion, and last (6) References.

Text format:
Times New Roman 11.5 pitch (11 pitch for Reference List and Figure/Table Text), single line spacing. Section headings should be in bold capitals.

References:
In the abstract text either full reference, e.g. (Kadi et al. 2004) or number, e.g. [4]. In Reference List: Tipton et al., Am. J. Physiol. 281, E197-206, 2001.

Margins and paper format:
Paper format: A4 (21 x 29.7 cm), margins: top 2.4 cm; bottom 2.3 cm; left, right 2.54 cm.

Poster Format

Poster size should not exceed 160 cm in width and 110 cm in height.

The Poster should contain:

Highly visible Abstract Title
List of Authors
Author Affiliations

Poster should also contain the following sections:

a) Introduction
b) Methods
c) Results
d) Discussion/Conclusions
e) Reference List
