After going through the program sheets with several parallel sessions, one may wish to listen to speakers in several different auditoriums at the same time. The organizers may try to minimize this problem by careful planning avoiding parallel sessions with similar topics. However, in most of the cases they are hardly able to solve this problem to full satisfaction of the participants. An alternative option may be to go for an event focused on particular area of sport science or sport medicine. The series of the International Conference on Strength Training presents very successful model of this kind. This fact has been proved by 6 biennial meetings held in Finland, Malaysia, Hungary, Greece, Denmark and USA. Each of them attracted several hundreds of sport scientists, coaches, fitness instructors and health professionals from all over the world.
		The following edition takes place from October 28th till October 30th, 2010 in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. The host of the conference will be The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Comenius University supported by Slovak Society of Sport Medicine and Slovak Olympic Committee. The convention is going to be held as one of the principal events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. Bratislava, promoted as a „little big city“, is near half a million town at the Danube River, which has recently become a popular East European tourist destination. In the frame of social program we will try to expose you to some of its historical sites and attractions. We sincerely hope that the participants will enjoy not only the scientific sessions, but also our city and its autumn atmosphere.
